With capacity for 271 vessels, the Derwent Sailing Squadron's marina is the largest and most technically advanced Club marina in Tasmania.
The John Blackwood Marina was opened in 1965 which now comprises 130 fixed pile berths with sizes ranging from 6m to 16m.
The Roy Barkas Extension, designed by Burbury Consulting and built by Bellingham Marine, opened in 2016 which offers 141 floating berths ranging from 10m to 30m super yacht berths all with individual power and water services.
The marina has onsite parking and is only accessible with a marina pass with advanced security in place to give owners ease of access and peace of mind.

Onsite Boat Broker, Sailmaker and Yacht Care services are available. All ability access shower and toilet facilities as well as coin and card operated washing and drying machines are close to the marina entrance.
The Derwent Sailing Squadron is located in the picturesque suburb of Sandy Bay, next to Wrest Point Casino, and just 20 minutes walk from Hobart's pre-eminent restaurant and cafe precinct, Salamanca.
