Notice is hereby given that the 118th Annual General Meeting of the Derwent Sailing Squadron Inc will be held at the club, 23 Marieville Esplanade, Sandy Bay on Wednesday 26th June 2024 at 7:30 pm. (Meeting check-in opens at 6.30pm).
The business of the meeting shall include:
Should any member desire to have any matter included in the agenda of the Annual General Meeting, the member shall give written notice thereof to the General Manager not less than twenty-one (21) days prior to the meeting and in accordance with rule 17.5 of the constitution.
Nomination of Commodore, Vice Commodore, Rear Commodore, Treasurer and Two (2) Board Members shall be made on the appropriate form which shall be available from the General Manager on and after Monday 27th May 2024. Such forms shall be lodged with the General Manager, together with a maximum of 100 words setting out the candidate’s qualifications and experience, by 5pm Wednesday 5th June 2024.
According to the Club’s constitution to be eligible to vote and hold office you must be a financial member, qualified to vote and hold office.
NOTE: If the number of nominations received exceeds the number of vacancies to be filled, a ballot shall be held in accordance with the constitution.
The 118th Annual Report will be available from reception, posted on request and on the Squadron Website prior to the Annual General Meeting.
