Club membership 2020
The Derwent Sailing Squadron welcomes applications for membership from anyone interested in sailing or boating in general.
In this historic but progressive club, membership offers a full program of sailing events, use of some outstanding sailing and clubhouse facilities and a lively social calendar.
Prorata membership is available for all new members of the Squadron. Our membership year runs from 1 October to 30 September each year.
Full Member
Open to adults and entitles use of the club’s facilities, including renting or leasing a marina berth and hardstand/trailer park space, access to the launch ramp, slip and storage areas, as well as enjoying the hospitality in the clubhouse.
Annual fee $435
Crew/Social Member
For non-boat owners and those wishing to make use of the clubhouse facilities. Yacht racing rules require all participants to be on the register of Australian Sailing (AS) and to join AS crews must first join a AS affiliated club.

Apply for membership
All applications must be proposed and seconded by a current Squadron member. The application is then considered by the club’s Board. The process is usually undertaken swiftly and new members find themselves quickly welcomed into the club and sailing in no time. For further information, please contact the office on 03 6223 1977.
Family Member
One Full Member and one Social Member (spouse) plus all children up to 18 years of age or those who are full time students under 25 years.
Annual fee $525
Young Member
Rights of a Full Member excluding the ability to hold office or vote at the General Meetings. Young member is a person under the age of 18 or a full time student under the age of 25 years.
Annual fee $80
Visiting Member
Free (restricted) membership for 28 days for those over the age of 18 who reside north of the 42nd parallel of latitude.
