Twilight Pennant Series
The arrival of daylight saving is welcomed by millions of Australians for many reasons – it heralds the approach of summer, and with it, the promise of better weather and the opportunity to spend more time outdoors. For sailors on the Derwent River, daylight saving means one thing above all else: the chance to enjoy another wonderful season of Twilight Sailing.
The DSS runs a series of casual Thursday events on the water throughout the summer. Getting down to the club straight after work on a Thursday for a couple of hours on the water as the sun sets, followed by a beer on the boat with mates, then dinner and socialising in the clubhouse afterwards, is one of the most enjoyable sides of club life for many.
